Gay Paree Peony

18-36" tall x 24-36" wide. In the grand gallery of late-spring blooming Peonies, ‘Gay Paree’ is a standout. Cerise-pink petals frame a puff of ivory strap-like petals for a cheery, unique look. Lightly fragrant, its open form has a simple elegance. The shiny, dark green leaves add an element of interest all season long and may even color up in the fall. Deer and rabbit resistant, butterflies love them! Plant them in compost enriched soil in a sunny or light shade location. If the sun is strong in your area, plant them where they’ll have some afternoon shade. Keep them moist during flowering season and water moderately thereafter. Cut flower stems back after flowering and cut back the foliage entirely after it has died back in the fall.
