A vigorous hybrid, ‘Camelot Cream’ produces pillars of blooms all summer long. Hummingbirds and bees are drawn to the showy blossoms, while deer and rabbit avoid browsing the deep green foliage. As a reliable two-season bloomer, be sure to deadhead spent flowers in the first year by cutting back to the base. remove spent blooms by cutting back to the plant base. Allow second-year flowers to go to seed, encouraging plants to self-sow for future generations of Foxglove. Give Foxglove an acidic, well-drained soil and plenty of moisture. Select planting sites carefully as leaves and seeds of Foxglove (Digitalis) produce a powerful chemical used as a heart medicine but are toxic if ingested.
